Scientology is a religion that is based on the idea that people have immortal souls that are stuck in bodies. Hubbard says that humans have been around for billions of years and that they are stuck in a physical body because they have engrams from past lives that make it hard for them to survive. Auditing is the only way to get rid of these engrams. The religion says that auditing can help people get rid of their bodies.
Also, the religion says that a person is more than just his or her mind. Also, he is a spirit. This spirit controls his body and mind, and without it, he would not be able to do what he wants. The Hubbard Church says that its founder, L. Ron Hubbard, wrote a lot about how to raise children.
Scientology tries to make the world a better place. Communication and relationships are important in the religion. The religion also has counselors who do "auditing" to help people see their past. The goal of this counseling is to help people see their flaws and then work on fixing them.
L. Ron Hubbard, who started the religion of Scientology, was born in 1911. His parents were officers in the U.S. Navy, so he and his family moved around a lot. Later, Hubbard went to George Washington University, but he dropped out before he graduated to become a science fiction writer.
"Fair game" is a way of life in Scientology, which is another thing that makes no sense. This means that members can do anything they want to critics without getting in trouble for it. Some church members have been accused of following and slandering people who don't like them. Private detectives have also been hired to find people who don't like the company.
Scientologists believe in a set of beliefs that lets them know the answers to questions and solve problems. Even though some of these beliefs are strange, Scientologists believe them to be true. In the 1950s, an American named L. Ron Hubbard, who wrote science fiction, started the religion. But the religion has been in the middle of a lot of trouble because it uses force and other questionable methods.
Scientology is similar to Christianity in some ways, but it is very different in other ways. It stresses self-reliance and brotherhood with the rest of the universe, and it rejects the main idea that people are good by nature. But Hubbard had a different view of man than what the Bible says. The Church also says that Scientology is not based on the idea that God exists.
Hollywood stars have said bad things about Scientology. Leah Remini, who used to be a Scientologist, has spoken out against the religion and its followers in public. She says that the cult took her friends and godchildren away from her. But Scientology says that Remini is only criticizing the religion to help herself. It's not clear what this person's reason is.
